Let me repeat it again, so that you can digest what I'm saying. Perhaps you'll understand what I'm about to say if I put it in the following manner:
OK let's break this gem of a post down.
1. Our Oline situation is worse than yours. None of your Oline players have been injured. You have said it yourself.
No argument here.
2. Yes, you lost one WR to injury for most of the season, but we too have lost our WR's for many games. Your WR situation may be worse than ours, but slightly if any, because our WR's too have missed games. Plus, Glenn is just too old and may retire soon. Hell, we had to go get Reche Caldwell and Keenan McCardell because of our WR situation. The WR position is the least deep position for us. I'm pretty sure Gibbs will address WR depth in the offseason.
So our WRs have missed 16 and yours have missed 6, and that's comparable? You do realize we're talking about Terry Glenn and TO versus Antwan Randle El and Santana Moss right?
Neither of us have great depth at WR. That's why we'll probably draft a WR on the first day in April. We've been smarter about our lack of depth there though, ya know by NOT trading draft picks for guys who caught like 20 balls and then got cut. We stuck with our young guys and tried to develop them rather than go get McCardell or Caldwell, though I'm sure the thought crossed everyone's mind when we found out Glenn wouldn't be back for most of the year.
And now that Glenn's coming back for the first game this season, you think that makes up for it? Please.
So, Cowboys worse off here? Agree? If you don't you're ********.
3. Our secondary situation is worse than yours. Sean Taylor and Carlos Rogers are gone for the season. Smoot has missed a few games. In your case, Anthony Henry has missed a few games, and Newman was playing injured. The difference is they aren't lost for the entire season. If you really think your secondary situation is worse than ours, you need your head examined.
Look, the loss of Sean Taylor was big... but it was also a plus in a small way, because it rallied what was otherwise a hopeless team around emotion.
So while that was a big loss, a pretty big positive came from it. The only real positive from our injury situations in the secondary is that Jacque Reeves became a good 3rd CB who could fill in and start in a pinch.
Henry is just now rounding into form, Newman has a new injury to deal with.
BTW the fact that your guys are lost for the season has little to no bearing. An injury is an injury. A guy who got hurt midway through the season, isn't exactly a "lost season" like you're trying to argue it is.
But just for argument's sake, I'll give you that you're worse off here.
4. Our LB situation is probably worse than yours. Marcus Washington missed a few games. McIntosh is out for the season(he has missed two games as of now). How many LB's have missed games in your case? However, I must admit that this position is extremely deep for us.
We lost Greg Ellis for the first 5 games, and even when he came back, he was limited for a couple of games. Washington has missed 4, and McIntosh is going to miss 3. This is a wash.
5. Your Dline situation is probably worse than ours. I know you lost one guy. It should be mentioned that Cornelius Griffin has been playing injured(what else is new..he's always injured).
There's no "probably" about it. We lost our run stuffer for the year in the first game. But again it goes back to depth. Ratliff has turned into a beast and Tank and Bowen solidified the rotation. We lost our best run stuffer, and still have a better DL than you. That says something about our depth.
But we're worse off if you're talking about significant injuries.
So, tell me again, how exactly is your injury situation even comparable to ours? Don't make me laugh.
Well it looks like to me that we're worse off in two areas and you're worse off in two, with one wash. Sounds comparable to me.
Next time I'm gonna make you go pick out the switch with which you want me to beat you.
