This is a pretty poor RB draft class. Wouldn't be 1 bit surprised if the first RB off the board is in the 4th round.... partly due to the lower class RBs...and partly due to the sheer number of great players at other positions.

I could see 12 WRs coming off the board b4 the 1st RB does. Maybe more. Historically great WR class.
You are right in that its not at great class, but Benson and likely Brooks wont make it to round 3. Corum might not either

Was there something Lynch was exceptional at on the field.

I know he was a bruiser but also had the personality on and off the field.

But he never once seemed as lethal as Marion Barber to me. Similar players...but Barber always seemed better to me.

Did Lynch run way faster? Catch passes better? Block better(Barber was a good blocker if im not mistaken)

Just never understood Lynch over Barber. Maybe im a homer or uneducated on Lynch.
Nobody on this board wants anyone with any kind of personality whatsoever.....

CLEARLY an OL would be the best RB we get that. With that said, would you like to see a bigger more physical running back, or a back that's smaller in size with more of a potential for homeruns?? What type of RB would work best in our offense?
It won't matter. In 2016 we had Ezekiel Elliott behind the best line in the NFL and still lost in the first round of the playoffs.
There's only one position that the Cowboys HAVE to change, and unless that happens, nothing else will matter.

No, Lynch was better, and that's not really close.

Lynch could simply carry an O. He did quite often, as Wilson has always been inconsistent. Lynch was the most important player on that O.

I'm not too picky.

Maybe someone with the smoothness of a Walter Payton...the speed of a Bo Jackson... the power and size of Christian Okoye but with the cutting ability, elusivness and creativity of Barry Sanders... the pass catching ability of Marshal Faulk... the grinding ability to wear down a defense of Earl Campbell or Jim Brown..and the pass blocking ability of Tom Rathman.

If we could get someone like that in say the 6th or 7th round, that would be cool.

I'm a bit more picky on what I want in a QB though.
Yeah, you can find that type RB all up and down the draft, they're just frickin' everywhere!!!!!!!!!!!

We need Blake Corum, or Marshawn Lloyd. This offense is in desperate need of a running game. We need to stop with the Pollard experiment, and get younger RBs in the draft. Draft a RB in the 3-5th range every 3 or 4 years to rotate them out. No need to sign big free agents or waste 10+ million on Pollard.

First get Henry in free agency then draft a 2024 version of
OJ Simpson.

And let's stop working around this horrible problem at center and get a real NFL center.
The worst thing that happened to our running game was losing Travis Frederick

the kind of RB that has an OLine that can open up the kind of lanes we saw 2016-2019
