I believe that we'd be just as fine moving Roy out, sliding Hamlin over, and putting Watkins in - you remember him, the guy with as many INTs as your precious Roy.

To answer the original post, I think they should move Hamlin over and put Watkins in at FS.

As I've said, in my opinion, Roy is the weak link on our defense, and now, it appears, the league's onto Roy. Eli flat out admitted that they game planned to attack him —*didn't say that about anyone else on our team. The Giants staff and he, as a starting QB, have watched more film on the Cowboys than anyone on this board, so if they saw it, they must be onto something.

one of the 1st things DC Brian Stewart said upon arriving here was to scoff at how many times we put our safeties out in deep, cover-2

Dallas should cut ties with him first opportunity and add some coverage ability at the safety position because Hamlin isn't great in coverage either.

hamlin isnt that great? he is behind anthony henry and sean taylor in ints and is tied for the lead with tackles on our team..... i think hes turning out to be alright.

The biggest weakness of the defense is the coverage abilities of our safeties. Our D line is looking very strong and I really like our LB core although Akin is no better than solid.

Neither Roy nor Hamlin, for that matter, would be considered 'good' incoverage. This is known and well discussed around the league.

Roy doesn't suck, he isn't the greatest thing since sliced bread either. I do think though Roy has slowed a bit and is playing tentative because his 'weak coverage skills' have gotten in his head. Also, with his body type and general motivation, I personally think he has 2-3 years left of being a 'pretty good' player, which is what I think he is. So if I were JJones, I would definitely start thinking about replacing Roy over the next 1-3 yrs.

anyone see the hit roy placed on jacobs in the second half. since jacobs is so huge it didnt really look that bad.. but he snaped jacobs head straight back. he didnt seem to effective after that like he had lost his confidence. along with the defensive adjustments . yet sometimes thats impact enough taking people out of games with big hits, messing with heads ect ect . if he had hit westbrook or someone like that the hit wouldve been a highlight reel play.

when you have nothing to bring to the discussion you say we have an agenda. like you just did. for an 8th overall pick he should not be the weakest link in our secondary other than nate jones. now instead of saying you disagree because....... you will just say i have an agenda. i get it
